The Search for the Bodgeham Badger
Sighting reports
-
The Badger was first sighted by an anonymous person 33 years ago
during a frantic emergency call to the fire service reporting a small
wild fire in the local forest in November. We believe this was the
Badger coming into this plane of reality.
-
The Badger has been sighted near the arcade, witnesses need to be
questioned on the validity and time of encounter. A few of the screens
apparently went fuzzy for a few seconds and all the cabinets rebooted.
There may be traces of the Badgers e.m.f. affecting powers recorded on
one of the cabinets.
-
The Badger had been sighted near the Scottish consulate rooting around
a crate of empty Buckfast bottles. Witnesses need to be questioned on
the validity and time of encounter.
-
The Badger has been sighted near Termisocs crumpet village with
reports of strange growls and glowing red eyes. Witnesses need to be
questioned on the validity and time of encounter.
-
The Badger has been sighted by the local telecoms company when they
investigate reports of random unexplained connection outages.
Witnesses need to be questioned on the validity and time of encounter.
-
The Badger had been sighted near the Maths village, with reports that
universal constants seem to change by a small degree near the time of
sighting. Witnesses need to be questioned on the validity and time of
encounter.
-
The local Bat conservation specialist hasxwxan’t directly
sighted the Badger but has reported strange signals when analysing his
bat calls.
-
The local Bodgeham-on-Wye arcane and natural magic practitioner who is
all but officially confirmed as the originator of the friendly
Ghemotochi has reported that many of her Ghemotochi have been
disappearing over the last few weeks and blames the “black and
white daemon with blood red eyes and glowing embers as a tail”
as the culprit. She needs to be questioned on the details.
Commonalities between reports
-
The Badger seems to primarily come out during the night and when it is
dry suggesting it is adverse to light and water.
-
The Badger is around the size of an above average human suggesting it
weighs around 90–110kg.
-
The Badger is attracted to electromagnetic signals and affects and/or
absorbs them, usually corrupting beyond recovery any media that is
taken of it. It may be embodying them to some extent in its calls and
glowing tail. Some insights may be gleaned by capturing usable
recordings.
-
The extent of the Badgers corruption of digital signals is not
understood and could extend to affecting even online writing.
-
No footprints have been reported near sightings suggesting the Badger
either treads very lightly or has a way of removing its trail. A paint
trap may be able to get a good footprint.
-
The Badger seems to have an interest in the Ghemotochi maybe just
abducting them, maybe eating them, maybe nursing them. It is unclear.
